Roundup: Gemalto, SAS-Santander, Huawei
Panama's largest public bank Banco Nacional de Panamá (Banconal) implemented Dutch security firm Gemalto's multi-channel authentication solution to secure its e-banking and m-banking operations.
The solutions tapped were Ezio eBanking Server, Ezio Mobile App and Ezio Slim Optical Token, all part of the Gemalto's Ezio authentication suite, Gemalto said.
The implementation of Ezio Mobile App was conducted in partnership with telecoms carrier Cable & Wireless, Gemalto's business partner in Panamá.

The Brazilian subsidiary of Spain's Santander bank adopted a new fraud management suite from US analytics software provider SAS.
Santander Brasil implemented Fraud Network Analysis, SAS Visual Analytics and SAS Grid Manager.
The solutions are expected to reduce fraud losses and operational costs through better management of the bank's daily generation of big data, SAS said.

Chinese telecoms network infrastructure and device manufacturer Huaweilaunched in Brazil its complete portfolio of IT infrastructure for SAP's (NYSE: SAP) in-memory computing HANA platform.
The portfolio is available for the corporate market and will be delivered though Huawei's partners and integrators, including SAP itself, Huawei said.
One of the flagship solutions in this portfolio is Huawei FusionCube, said to be an optimized converged infrastructure solution for SAP HANA and ready for big data and cloud computing. According to Huawei, FusionCube is ideal for applications that require high processing capacity, such as from financial institutions.
