Seven firms interested in 3D seismic studies as of final meeting

Seven firms had purchased bidding rules for the tender launched by Mexican state oil company Pemex's E&P subsidiary PEP for two 3D seismic studies in the company's Veracruz development area as of the final project meeting, according to federal procurement website Compranet. The tender corresponds to the Múchite and Mata Verde studies in Veracruz and Oaxaca states. The firms that purchased bidding rules as of the first project meeting were: American Geophysical, Global Geophysical Services, Compañía Mexicana de Geofísica, PGS Mexicana, Sinopec International Petroleum Service México, Sociedad Industrial de Construcciones Eléctrica, and CGG Veritas Services de México Bids are due April 22. Works are scheduled to begin June 9 and run more than 3.5 years. Pemex has budgeted 247mn pesos (US$18.9mn) for the works during 2009. The tender number is 18575008-005-09.
