Shake-up at AXA brings new LatAm head

As part of a major management shake-up ahead of the arrival of new CEO Thomas Buberl in September, French insurance group AXA will have a new head for its Latin American region.

Wilm Langenbach was appointed chief executive for AXA Emerging Markets, which includes Latin America, the company announced in a release. He replaces Jean-Laurent Granier, who resigns effective June 30.

The changes are part of a new 10-member management committee "designed to reinforce the role of large countries and global business lines, while the group's regions will be repositioned to focus on the development of emerging and smaller markets," AXA said.
