Tega looks to build new plant in central Chile
Mining supplier Tega Industries Chile plans to build a new US$32.6mn plant in the central region of the country.
Tega, which produces mill liners, trommels, chute liners and screens, among other products, filed an environmental impact assessment (DIA) for the project on Monday.
The 15,000m2 plant would be in an industrial area of Concón in Valparaíso region and would be the third of the company that is owned by India-based Tega Industries. It would in increase the firm’s Chile production capacity by 25%, according to the DIA submitted to the environmental evaluation service.
Construction is planned to begin next March and operations in September 2024. The plant’s useful life is put at 35 years.
Tega also has plants in Australia and South Africa and exports to more than 70 countries.
