Since last September 17, 2019, when the provisional receipt delivery act was signed, the parties verified compliance with the requirements established in the technical and legal documentation, in accordance with the provisions of the Organic Law of the National System of Public Procurement , Internal Control Standards of the State Comptroller General and contractual stipulations.
The signing of the act marks a further step in the execution of this work of national interest, which takes advantage of the potential of the Jubones River. For the next few months, the signature of the final receipt of the electromechanical components is expected.
The Minas San Francisco plant is located between the provinces of Azuay and El Oro, has an installed capacity of 270 MW (megawatts) of nominal power and contributes to the National Interconnected System with 1,290 GWh (gigawatt hours per year). This work contributes to caring for the environment by reducing emissions of approximately 690,000 tons of CO2 per year.
This hydroelectric plant is one more work that was recovered by the National Government, through the Ministry of Energy and Non-Renewable Natural Resources (MERNNR), and placed at the service of Ecuadorians.
