Tokio Marine launches 100% online product in Brazil
Tokio Marine Seguradora, a subsidiary of Japan's Tokio Marine, launched Tokio Marine Imobiliário (TMI), an online product focused on providing home and commercial insurance in Brazil.
The main difference between TMI and others like it is that TMI is a fully online product, according to local media outlet Sonhoseguro, citing a statement from Tokio Marine Seguradora.
TMI allows clients to customize their insurance purchase and, for instance, buy coverage for only the building structure, an alternative generally chosen by home owners. Clients can also insure just contents, which appeals to the owners of commercial businesses.
The insurance provided by TMI also includes many home services, such as removal services and electrician and plumbing services. As well as obligatory fire insurance for commercial properties, TMI can provide insurance against unpaid rent.
Policies can be paid for in 12 interest-free installments, or according to the needs of the clients. The services are active 24 hours a day.
