Urban works around Mexico state's AIFA airport advance
The agrarian, territorial and urban development ministry (Sedatu) will carry out urban works for 1.2bn pesos (US$57.5mn) to rehabilitate areas around Mexico state’s Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA).
Recent works include the rehabilitation of Zumpango municipality’s main square and streets and urban works in Tultitlán. Sedatu is also carrying out projects in Chalco, Cuautitlán Izcalli, and Ecatepec.
Focused on seven municipalities, Mexico state also has a 4.1bn-peso urban development program that includes 10,000 actions. The program also covers Tecámac, Tultepec, Jaltenco, Nextlalpan and Tonanitla.
“We are looking to better the wellbeing of families in marginalized areas through comprehensive interventions on public spaces, housing, and property ownership programs,” agrarian, territorial and urban development minister Román Meyer Falcón said on social media.
