US rules out antidumping duties on Brazilian stainless steel bars
The US Department of Commerce ratified in a final administrative review that Brazilian specialty steelmaker Villares Metals did not sell stainless steel bars at less than normal value.
The period of review of the antidumping duty covered February 1, 2013, through January 31, 2014. The department said it received no comments from parties after releasing preliminary results.
"As a result of this review, we determine that a weighted-average dumping margin of 0.00% exists for Villares for the period," it said in a statement released on Wednesday.
The department will instruct the US Customs and Border Protection to liquidate all appropriate entries for Villares without regard to antidumping duties.
Brazilian steelmaker Gerdau incorporated Villares Metals in February 2011.
