YPFB invests US$ 13,895mn

YPFB made a historic investment in the productive chain of the hydrocarbons sector. As far as Nationalization is concerned, in the hydrocarbons sector, $ 13,895 million was invested, 2.6 times more than in the period 1993-2005, resources that primarily benefited the Bolivian family through the supply of fuels and gas installations to address, said today the CEO of YPFB, Óscar Barriga Arteaga.

"Public investment is another variable that shows the growth of the hydrocarbons sector: In the period from 1993 to 2005, the participation of YPFB Matriz's investment in national public investment was approximately 5%, while in the period 2006 to 2018 participation was around 10%, "said the YPFB executive in a management evaluation.

INVESTMENTS

During the period from 1993 to 2005, the oil income generated by the hydrocarbons sector reached 3,206 million dollars (13 years before the nationalization); from 2006 to 2018, the income generated for the benefit of the country reached 37,396 million dollars, equivalent to 11.7 times more than in the previous period.

In the period 1996-2005, the production of natural gas registered an average of 15.54 million cubic meters per day, between 2006-2018 the production of natural gas increases to an average of 47.52 million cubic meters per day . In this post-nationalization period, production increased 3 times more than in previous years of the process of change.

Regarding the production of oil, condensate and natural gasoline, in years prior to nationalization we had an average of 38.2 thousand barrels per day; from 2006 to date the daily average increased by 30%, that is, it reached 51.67 thousand barrels per day. These data confirm the significant growth of the domestic market.

INDUSTRIALIZATION

The dream of all Bolivians was reflected in this post-capitalization period of hydrocarbons, beginning with the construction of the Liquid Separator Plants of Rio Grande and Carlos Villegas, which allow the separation of LPG from gas export flows to Brazil and Argentina. , respectively. This hydrocarbon complex converted the country into a net exporter of LPG.

In September 2017, the Ammonia and Urea Plant starts operations, whose production is focused on improving the Bolivian agricultural yield and generating surplus for the exportation of this product, being our main buyers Brazil and Argentina.

The consumption of gas in the domestic market increased remarkably, especially in what corresponds to the consumption as gas at home. Of 28 thousand installations that were in 2005, rose to more than 853 thousand internal installations of residential gas, the beneficiary reached more than 4.2 million Bolivian citizens.

The consumption of Natural Gas Vehicular, reaching currently 2.13 million cubic meters per day. For which also YPFB made important investments in the construction of Service Stations throughout the national territory.

Another important achievement is the implementation of the LNG Plant in Rio Grande, in which Liquefied Natural Gas is produced, which is transported in tanker trucks to 27 Regasification Stations located in intermediate cities of La Paz, Oruro, Potosí, Santa Cruz, Beni and Pando, away from conventional gas pipelines. The benefit reached 37 thousand families with low economic resources.
