The rate increase will be implemented on the current capacity generated from the "Mantos Blancos Concentrator Debottlenecking (MB-CDP)" project, environmentally approved in 2017. The Debottlenecking project contemplated a total mine movement of 672.1Mt in the 2017-2029 period, with a maximum extraction rate of 70Mt/year and a sulfide processing rate of 7.3 Mt/year, equivalent to 20,000 t/day anual average. This project considers increasing the total mine movement during the 2024-2029 period by 190.5 Mt with respect to the Unbottling project. The sulfide processing rate increases from 7.3 Mt/year of the Debottlenecking project to 10 Mt/year (equivalent to 27,400 t/day annual average), while the maximum extraction rate in the mine, including ore and ballast, increases from 70 Mt/year to 77.1 Mt/year (10% increase). The project is located within the Mantos Blancos mining site, located in the Antofagasta region, 45km northeast of the city of Antofagasta, in the province and commune of the same name, at an average altitude of 900 meters above sea level.
