AFP Cuprum is a private pension fund manager, controlled by Principal Financial Group. The company manages a series of pension funds, and invests in the public equity and fixed income markets. It manages an investment portfolio comprising a pool of financial assets, including fixed rate and variable rate instruments, into which pension fund savings are invested. The manager also offers a five multifund system with different degrees of risk which was created in August 2002 to invest pension contributions, voluntary pension plans (APV), and voluntary savings. The company was founded in 1981 and is based in Santiago, Chile. In 2015, it merged operations with AFP Argentum, also controlled by Principal.
