Panamanian firm Aeropuerto Internacional de Tocumen S.A. (Aitsa) operates and manages the Tocumen international airport in Panama, and offers passenger and cargo terminal services. Tocumen is the third biggest hub in the Americas – after Atlanta and Dallas – in terms of percentage of transit passengers. The airport is currently undergoing renovation, including expansion works at the passenger terminal, repair of the runway system and renovation works to the cargo terminal. The airport's south terminal is due to be completed in 2016 and there are plans to build a third runway in 2019.
