Peruvian national development bank Cofide is a second-tier development bank. The state, represented by the country's state business financing fund Fonafe, is the majority partner in the venture, holding a 98.7% stake. Cofide, part of Peru's financial system, performs financial intermediary operations. Its mission is to foster decentralized sustainable development to the benefit of the country's various economic agents by financing investment and development of its financial and capital market. Cofide was founded in 1971 and is based in Lima, Peru.
