Description

Chile's mining ministry is a government agency tasked with developing, promoting, publishing, monitoring and assessing public policy and standards geared to optimizing the country's sustainable mining development. The ministry comprises one deputy ministry and 12 regional ministries in charge of implementing the ministry's functions throughout the country. Companies and institutions, including Codelco, Enap, Enami, Cochilco and Sernageomin, operate under or are associated to the agency.
