Mexico's environment and natural resources authority Semarnat has the mission to implement criteria and standards ensuring the protection, conservation and use of natural resources within the domain of public administration and in society at large. The government agency's objectives include managing allocated human, material, financial and IT resources; managing and preserving the country's water resources; and working hand in hand with society to achieve the sustainable use of water.
