It provides online advertising, the Google internet search engine, cloud computing, software and hardware. Its many products include Gmail, Google Maps, Google Play application store, and the Youtube video streaming site. The company generates revenue primarily from advertising, as well as from the sell of apps and digital content from Google Play, hardware, cloud offerings, and other activities. Businesses use its AdWords program to promote their products and services with targeted advertising. Founded in 1998, Google is headquartered in Silicon Valley, with offices throughout the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. In Latin America, the company has offices in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico. In 2015, Google underwent a corporate restructuring with the creation of Alphabet, Inc, a new holding company of which Google, Inc. is now a wholly-owned subsidiary.
