Compañía Minera Teck Quebrada Blanca S.A. is a subsidiary of Canadian miner Teck Resources Ltd. The Iquique-based company operates the Quebrada Blanca copper and molybdenum mine, in Tarapacá region in northern Chile, which started production in 1994. The company is developing the Quebrada Blanca phase 2 project to increase the operation's copper production and its useful life by more than 30 years. The project is in the environmental approval process. Teck holds a 76.5% stake in the Quebrada Blanca mine while the remaining stakes belong to Inversiones Mineras S.A. (13.5%) and Empresa Nacional de Minería (ENAP, 10%).
