Description

The Superintendency of Environment (SMA) is an organization of Chilean State, under supervision of the Ministry of Environment, founded in 2010 to oversee, sanction, inform and promote compliance with laws and regulations that protect the environment. Based in Santiago, the SMA supervises and sanctions the Resolutions of Environmental Qualification, Quality and Emission Standards, Prevention Plans, Decontamination Plans and Management Plans, through the operation of Environmental Courts.
