Monday, May 9, 2011

The Peruvian government's labor ministry had to intervene to settle a dispute between BBVA Banco Continental and its employees.

The agreement, which provides increases in base pay, as well as in school subsidies and other non-salary compensation, was reached with employees who are members of the Centro Federado de Empleados union.

The collective bargaining agreement will be in effect starting retroactively on January 1, 2011, through the end of the year, according to a report on the Andina state newswire.
