Executives with Peru's BCP, the largest bank in the market, say they expect to add 450,000 new customers this year.

In comments to the Andina state newswire, customer experience manager Patricia Foster said the bank's efforts toward financial education have been particularly effective and have reached more than 1mn people.

Foster did not say how many customers the bank has currently. According to numbers from regulator SBS, through January BCP had granted 568,000 separate loans and had 146,000 depositors.
