Walter Bayly, general manager of Peru's Credicorp (NYSE: BAP), has joined the board of directors of the Institute of International Finance (IIF).
The IIF is an international financial services trade organization. Its board includes representatives of many multinational and investment banks, including Citigroup (NYSE: C), Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS), Deutsche Bank (NYSE: DB) and BBVA (NYSE: BBVA).
With his new seat on the IIF's board, Bayly becomes the second Peruvian banking executive to take a leadership position in a prominent international financial services trade organization, after Mibanco board chair Oscar Rivera became president of Latin American banking federation Felaban last year.
