Vehicle credit up by 20.8% annually through end of April

Peruvian banks' vehicle loan portfolio continued to expand through the end of April, growing 20.8% year-on-year.

According to a report from banking association Asbanc, Peruvian banks have US$481mn worth of vehicle loans on their books.

However, the delinquency rate on the portfolio continues to expand. Through the end of April, it came to 2.31%, up one basis point from March and 41 basis points from a year prior.
