The HidroItuango JV comprised of Colombian multi-utility EPM and Antioquia department's government has received 13 separate bids in a tender relating to preliminary works associated with the 2.4GW Ituango project.

The offers are for the construction of tunnels to divert the Cauca river, upon which the Ituango dam will be constructed, and were submitted by 29 firms from nine countries, HidroItuango said in a press release.

The works are expected to take place in early 2013, during a period of low flow on the river.
