Costa Rica's ministry of agriculture and livestock is developing an application for smartphones to map agricultural losses resulting from Hurricane Otto.
"We hope to have some data soon, and to have a pretty approximate estimate in a month," minister Luis Felipe Arauz told CRHoy.com.
The hurricane left behind devastation across northern Costa Rica last week, with 10 deaths confirmed and thousands of people affected, and damage to roads and electric power infrastructure.
