Former air force head takes over as deputy transport minister

Bolivia's former air force head Diógenes Edwin Marañón Gamboa has been sworn in as deputy transport minister, the public works ministry announced.

Marañón Gamboa will replace former deputy minister José Kinn, who is now acting as regional customs director in Santa Cruz.

The ministry will focus on implementing a multimodal transport system that brings together air, river and ground transport to meet the needs of the population, according to public works minister Walter Delgadillo.
