Colombia's national roads authority Invías has awarded a 58bn-peso (US$33mn) contract to local consortium Metrovías Cauca to pave a 13km stretch of the Anillo Vial del Macizo Colombiano roadway in southwestern Cauca department.
The consortium will be in charge of paving the Rosas-San Sebastián-Bolívar-La Lupa stretch, Invías said in a release. The project is part of the Corredores para la Prosperidad (roads for prosperity) program.
Metrovías Cauca is comprised of Constructora LHS (30%), CASS Constructores (30%), Luis Hector Solarte (20%) and CSS Constructores (20%).
The other bidders were Mario Huertas Cotes, Consorcio Anillo del Macizo, Consorcio Prosperidad 2014 and Procopal.
Invías plans to invest 572bn pesos (US$323mn) in highway projects for Cauca department.
