The Andina division of Chile's state copper corporation Codelco is building a US$5mn office block in the city of Los Andes in central Chile's Region V, business paper Estrategia reported.

Local engineering firm San Jorge won a tender to construct the 7,500 sq. m. building.

The Andina division manages Codelco's Andina mine, high up in the Andes Mountains in central Chile. The mine, which has underground and open pit operations, produces some 250,000t/y copper.
