Argentine oil firm YPF has awarded a contract for the construction of Argentina's first continuous catalytic regenerator (CCR) to Brazil's Odebrecht, a YPF spokesperson told BNamericas, confirming local press reports.
Construction is expected to last 36 months, and Argentina's production of high quality fuels will expand by 900Ml/y when the complex begins operations in 2012, YPF said in a statement.
Investment in the project is expected to reach US$348mn.
Odebrecht will finance the project, the spokesperson said without providing further details.
Spanish oil major Repsol (NYSE: REP) holds a majority stake in YPF.
