The body, approved unanimously on July 4, will focus on its inquiries into the period between 2014 and 2018 and will also seek to determine the effect of investments and commercial management in its current financial state.
For the fulfillment of its purpose, the aforementioned special commission must render its report within a period not exceeding ninety days and, for the performance of its mandate, it may be constituted anywhere in the national territory.
The petition was requested by 63 deputies who asked in particular that, for the compilation of information, the chairman of the company's board of directors, executives, union leaders and all persons and institutions that can illustrate the investigation be summoned.
Likewise, it is urged that, once the work of the Commission is completed and its respective report is approved, it is sent to the corresponding administrative and jurisdictional bodies, proposing the measures that are conducive to correct the alleged irregularities that are discovered and the that the Comptroller General of the Republic has determined.
