Pluspetrol has budgeted US$23mn to modify an exploratory drill campaign at Peru onshore block 108 (see map below).

The change entails the relocation of drilling to PAD B from Taririari-1 following advanced interpretation of geological and geophysical data, according to a supporting technical report (ITS) filed by the company with Senace, the environmental certification service for sustainable investments.

An ITS is filed when modifications to a project with environmental approval are not expected to cause a significant environmental impact.

Peru's hydrocarbons licensing authority Perúpetro launched bidding to operate and update its E&P databank.

Offers for the three year contract are due on February 12 and the reference budget is US$11.3mn.


Perúpetrol also issued a second call for bids to carry out petrophysical evaluation of wells at basins Marañón, Ucayali, Madre de Dios, Santiago and Huallaga.

Work will target 191 exploration and nine development wells. Offers for the 300-day contract are due January 17.
