US software company Adobe (Nasdaq: ADBE) saw its sales in Argentina grow 39% during 2010, media outlet Canal AR quoted Adobe's channels development manager for Latin America, Darío Llorente, as saying without providing hard figures.
Argentina experienced the biggest growth spurt in the region for Adobe in 2010. The company reported regional sales growth of 33%, which surpassed expectations.
Following Argentina, Brazil and Mexico each saw 34% growth. Globally, the company's 2010 sales rose 23%.
The executive linked Argentina's performance to the country's corporate accounts strategy. Adobe increased its new clients by 100% in Argentina thanks to the company's distributor, Nexsys, which offered benefits such as incentives for closing deals with companies and end users, Llorente said.
Another factor in Argentina's results was Adobe's expanded resource base, in which the firm had personnel in the Southern Cone market dedicated to answering legal and marketing questions, as well as the addition of sales staff. The company's next goal is to have an official in the region to focus on the education and business sectors.
Llorente said Adobe plans to grow 35% in Argentina during 2011.
