Critical power and cooling services company APC has restructured its Latin American operation, establishing its regional headquarters in Mexico City, Jorge Cortez, company VP of IT business for Latin America, told BNamericas.
"Mexico is a very mature market for us and is very relevant in terms of revenue contribution," Cortez said. APC's Latin American region was previously managed from the company's Miami office.
Cortez said APC also decided to form a single structure for the company's operation in Brazil, which will be led by country manager Jesús Carmona. Prior to this restructuring process, the Brazilian operation was part of APC's Latin American operation. "Brazil is becoming a different region for us due to strategic reasons," he added.
The company has organized the Spanish-speaking Latin American region into four sub-regions - Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America, the Andean region, and the Southern Cone.
The Caribbean and Central America will be managed from the company's Miami office. Meanwhile, the Andean region will be managed from Colombia, while the Southern Cone division will be managed from Buenos Aires.
APC, part of multinational firm Schneider Electric, provides data center infrastructure and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems.
