Brazilian IT services provider Asyst International, which specializes in service desk, grew revenues 22% to 61mn reais (US$36.8mn) in 2010 and expects to reach the 70mn-real plateau in 2011, the company said in a statement.
Asyst attributed the growth to a healthy domestic IT market that yielded 15 new clients and the renewal of contracts with existing customers. The company now attends to more than 100 large companies.
International expansion - including enlarging units in Brazil and Argentina and launching operations in England - also factored into Asyst's financial results, according to president Francisco Ricardo Blagevitch.
Brazil is poised to become "a global hub" for service desk, Blagevitch added. Latin America's IT outsourcing market will grow 11.5% this year, the company anticipates, citing numbers from consultancy IDC.
Asyst was founded in 1985 and today maintains affiliates in Argentina, Chile and the UK.
