As part of its expansion strategy, Brazilian IT services provider Asyst International and IT solutions and services provider Rhealeza will merge their operations to consolidate their service desk offer in Latin America, the companies said in a joint statement.
Both companies' management, as well as their offers, will remain unchanged after the merger and will act under the name Asyst International + Rhealeza. The new organization will have about 2,500 employees and more than 170 customers. In addition, it will be able to bring services in more than 12 languages and in more than 100 countries - including Brazil, other Latin American countries through units in Argentina and Chile, and Europe through its subsidiary in London.
"What prompted us to undertake this merger was the level of synergy and how the strong points in both companies complement each other. This results in a much more robust and attractive group for the Brazilian and Latin American market," said Rhealeza executive director Casseano Filho.
In the past year, Rhealeza grew 33%, and the company's turnover was 39mn reais (US$24.4mn). In 2010, Asyst's revenues grew 22% to US$36.8mn. The merged company expects a 20% increase in revenues for this year to 120mn reais.
In the next 12 months, the new organization plans to announce further acquisitions.
