Thursday, February 10, 2011

Mexican telco Axtel has received certification from Cisco Systems (Nasdaq: CSCO) as a managed services channel program (MSCP) for the company, according to an Axtel press release.

Axtel is the only carrier in Mexico to have obtained Cisco's MSCP certification. The MSCP aims to support Cisco's partners that sell and deliver managed and cloud services.

To grant the certification, Cisco evaluated Axtel's operations and tools, as well as the facilities of its network operations and security operations centers, both located in Monterrey. Axtel's service delivery process, supply chain, administration and human resources were also evaluated.
