The municipal government of Colombian capital Bogotá has issued a call for companies to provide and install technology for an electronic travel information system to support the city's integrated public transport network (SITP).
The tender has a reference price of 2.55bn pesos (US$1.34mn) and is being partly financed through an IDB loan approved in April 2009 to support the transport system.
Bids must be submitted by April 1, according to IDB project documents.
SITP will include a new metro, the existing Transmilenio bus system and a commuter train network known as Tren de Cercanías.
