Brazil's third largest bank, Bradesco (NYSE: BBD), will increase its investment in IT this year by 14% to 4bn reais (US$2.54bn), online news source Baguete reported.
The investment will go to upgrading existing technology, a new content management system and solutions to digitalize documents.
Part of the investment was also allocated to the recently finished migration of all the bank's ATMs and self-service terminals to biometric palm print identification. Bradesco began its biometric migration in 2007.
