Brazil has seen one of the highest growth rates in the world in database development and management tools (DDMT) this year, tech consultancy IDC said in a statement.
Meanwhile, the consultancy expects Chile to experience growth in the relational database management systems (RDBMS) next year.
IDC expects the global database and data integration market to experience 11.6% growth in 2011, reaching a total market size of US$35.5bn.
This market includes four segments - RDBMS, non-relational database management systems, data integration and access software (DIA) and DDMT.
"While the relational database management software market should grow at the same rate, the best improvement will be seen in the database development and management tools market, where year-over-year growth of more than 300% is expected," said Wilvin Chee, associate VP for IDC's Worldwide Software Trackers.
