Peru's contact centers are expected to export services worth US$143mn this year, for a 28.7% increase, state news service Andina reported, citing data from the country's export promotion commission, Promperú.
According to the report, the local contact center market is forecast to bill US$340mn this year. Services for the domestic market will represent 58% of total revenues.
The main markets for contact center service exports are Spain, Chile, the US, Ecuador, Mexico and Argentina. Spain accounts for more than half of total services exports.
The report also said there are 35 contact center operators in the country, with a total of 15,574 positions that generate 29,665 jobs.
