"The partnership with a company such as CPM Braxis Capgemini offers good business perspectives businesses for Teradata in Brazil, in a year in which we are expanding our portfolio to target verticals such as government, consumer goods, manufacturing and retail," said Teradata's alliances and channel director for Latin America, Raquel Hauschild.

French technology services consultancy Capgemini purchased CPM Braxis last year, and the two entities subsequently merged brands in the Brazilian market. The former's desire to have a unit with local expertise to serve global clients in Brazil precipitated the acquisition, CPM Braxis CEO José Luiz Rossi previously told BNamericas.

CPM Braxis offers application services, infrastructure technology services and business process outsourcing (BPO). The firm has eight development centers and one data center in Brazil.
