South African IT services provider Dimension Data is looking to expand its presence in Latin America via acquisitions, South African news source Business Report quoted the company's CEO for the Middle East and Africa, Allan Cawood, as saying.
"We are not everywhere in Latin America, and there are territories in Africa we would like to be in," the executive was quoted as saying.
The company's CEO for the Americas, Jere Brown, previously told BNamericas that Dimension Data was negotiating acquisitions with 8-10 Latin American firms.
In April last year, Dimension Data acquired 51% of Chilean integrator Magenta, which was subsequently rebranded as Dimension Data Chile.
A US$4bn global IT firm, Dimension Data provides solutions such as unified communications, network integration, IT infrastructure outsourcing and managed services.
