Brazilian IT solutions provider Disoft has acquired local payroll, HR and accounting management solutions firm Pantron, the former said in a release without providing hard figures on the transaction.
Disoft expects to expand its businesses in Brazil by incorporating Pantron's portfolio, with more than 80 clients from different niches, including hospitals, industry and construction firms.
According to Disoft CEO Armando Buchina, the solutions offered by Pantron "perfectly" complement Disoft's Openbravo enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, "which is open source, provided in the cloud computing form, flexible and customizable according to customer needs."
In the first phase of the integration, Pantron's payroll solution will be integrated with Disoft's ERP portfolio, Buchina said.
Also, with the operation, Disoft approaches the 200-client milestone, following a strategy outlined in 2010 to triple revenues in three years. The company expects to reach 33mn reais (US$18mn) in revenues by 2012.
With more than 25 years in Brazil, Disoft is a local leader in credit solutions, with a 24% market share.
