GlobalLogic opens local office

US software developer GlobalLogic has opened a subsidiary in Chile as part of its regional expansion plan, the company said in a statement.

The firm launched its Argentine operations last year via the acquisition of local software firm Cubika.

Argentina, Chile and Brazil are the main markets for GlobalLogic in terms of revenue contribution in Latin America, which currently represents some 10% of GlobalLogic's overall revenues.

In Latin America, the company also has clients in Peru, Colombia and Venezuela.

GlobalLogic provides clients with a full range of R&D services in markets such as digital media, electronics, finance, healthcare, infrastructure, retail and telecom.
