Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) has acquired Ontario-based data services and analytics company PostRank for an undisclosed amount, the latter said on its website.
The deal's terms have not been revealed, but it is believed that PostRank - founded in 2007 - might help the internet giant to improve its data analysis software, and create a new solution similar to Google Analytics.
PostRank confirmed in its blog the relocation of operations to Mountain View, California, where Google has offices.
Google posted a 17.3% increase in 1Q11 net profits of US$2.3bn, compared to US$1.96bn for the same period last year. Revenues for the quarter increased 27% year-on-year to US$8.58bn.
