Intel launches new channel partner program in Latin America

US chip manufacturer Intel (NYSE: INTC) has launched a new channel partner program in Latin America called the Intel Technology Provider Program, the company said during a press conference at the Intel Solutions Summit, according to Colombian software association Fedesoft.

According to Intel, the new program will be more flexible and provide global support, combining elements from its Intel Channel Partner Program (ICPP) and Intel Technology Provider Program (ITP).

The program - designed for all channel partners who design, build and sell solutions based on Intel's technologies - will include original equipment manufacturers, technology vendors, small retailers and systems manufacturers of specific items such as embedded devices.

Intel said the program will have three levels of membership: platinum, gold and registered partner.
