US memory device manufacturer Kingston Technology is looking to see sales of US$35mn in Chile during 2011, local newspaper El Mercurio reported the sales manager of Kingston Chile-Peru, Francisco Silva, as saying.
According to Silva, Kingston's sales in Chile grew 20% last year, and the firm estimates around 10% growth for 2011.
Silva highlighted the importance of Latin America for Kingston, noting that it saw sales of US$500mn in the region last year.
For the company as a whole, Silva said he expects it to grow 5-7% compared with last year. In January alone, the company grew 32% over the same month in 2010, he added.
