Latin America accounts for 28% of Logicalis' revenues in fiscal 2011

Latin American operations accounted for 28% of international ICT solutions provider Logicalis' global revenues in fiscal year 2011, ended February, compared to 23% the previous fiscal year, the company said in a statement.

Latin America revenues were up 52% compared to fiscal 2010, outstripping the 25% growth seen globally and driven by demand from the telecommunications and media sectors.

"Logicalis South America will continue to leverage its recognized expertise in data center solutions and is rapidly developing its managed services capability across the region," Logicalis said.

"Growth for the year was particularly strong in the South America region, driven by increased capital investment by telecommunication service providers, with Brazil once again the standout market," the company added.

The firm ended the fiscal year with a total of 840 customers across the region.

In Latin America, the firm has operations in Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.

Globally, the company posted US$1.05bn for the fiscal year.
