Brazilian online affiliate marketing company Lomadee is looking for more affiliates to promote its clients' products in the region, company marketing manager Marcio Borges told BNamericas.
Five countries around Latin America are participating in this program - Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Mexico - which consists of rewarding one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by its own marketing efforts.
Currently, Borges said, Lomadee's global advertisers in Brazil are Dell, Nokia and Epo Store, "but we're looking to advertise these global brands in other countries of the region, together with local ones."
The company has more than 80,000 affiliates around Latin America and, as part of its expansion plans, expects to increase the number of advertisers.
"At the moment our only advertiser in Latin America is [regional price comparison portal] Buscapé, so we want to bring other global brands to the region, together with local brands, like retailers," Borges added.
"We want any publisher that generates content in the internet to take part.... It can be a blog, a portal, social networks like Twitter and Facebook, because our service allows us to track social networks as well," he said.
Although the company has not set a goal in terms of new affiliate numbers for this year, Borges expects the business to grow 100%.
According to the executive, an affiliate can make up to US$20,000 per month, "but this requires professional work and a 100% commitment."
