Navita revenues surge 126% in 2010

Brazilian web applications and corporate portal developer Navita Tecnologia closed 2010 with revenues of 10mn reais (US$6.2mn), jumping 126% from the previous year and surpassing its 2010 outlook of 120% growth, online news source Baguete reported.

The company closed the year with nearly 300 clients, including 40 medium and large enterprises for which Navita administers all corporate mobility.

Two of the company's applications - Navita Translator and Navita Sports - saw more than 3.5mn downloads last year. Other highlights in 2010 included launching products and services for smartphone platforms other than BlackBerry's, as well as the launch of Navita mobile device management.

The company expects to grow 90% this year. "We're investing thinking of innovative products. For example, our platform can also be used to manage tablets with operating systems in iPhone OS, Android or Blackberry," CEO Roberto Dariva was quoted as saying.

São Paulo-based Navita is an elite partner of BlackBerry maker Research in Motion (RIM) and an official partner for Apple, Samsung and Sony Ericsson.
