Chilean IT services firm Pragma Informática expects to grow 20% this year compared to 2010, company general manager Dionisio González told BNamericas.
According to a company statement, Pragma is in the midst of an internal renovation involving changes in its infrastructure and HR, focusing on hiring new workforce and signing new business contracts. Pragma has also changed its business model and is now able to interact remotely with clients.
During the current year, the company has also been working to obtain a grade 3 CMMI certification.
Over the last 14 years, González said, the company has increased its workforce to more than 100 employees. It works with verticals in the public and private sector, such as the civil registry and the public works ministry, as well as retailer Falabella, insurance company ING and Banchile.
For 2010 Pragma reported sales of more than US$6.5mn, representing 68% growth over 2009, and far surpassing the 28% increase it had originally expected for the year.
For 2011, Pragma expects to continue growing its client portfolio, enhancing its management and processes areas, and also expanding its business process management (BPM) and business intelligence (BI) services. Furthermore, the company said it expects to increase its activity as a Platinum partner of Oracle.
